The Central Appalachia Regional Network (CARN) is comprised of diverse organizations located in the Appalachian counties of West Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia. This regional network was formed through the Rural People Rural Policy Initiative, a project initially funded in 2006, by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. CARN strives to connect diverse organizations to promote policy and action to improve the quality of life available to the people of Appalachia.
